To The Ballgame Little K.
I am sure when I was pregnant and we found out Landon was going to be a boy, Scott imagined taking his son to Royals games. Then, to find out he was having a second son...well, that's just every sports fan's dream. I am sure he imagined the games often. One son on each side of him asking baseball questions. Little hands, sweaty from wearing a glove, anticipating a foul ball . Anxiously watching the whole game and yelling out the players names for an autograph or wave as they walk off the field.
Welp, keep dreamin' daddy...I think it's going to be a few years.
Our games go a little more like this:
Scott: "Are you excited for the game buddy?" (getting out of the car)
Landon: "Yes, can we go to the Little K now?"
Scott: "Not yet buddy, we have to watch some of the game"
Landon: (settling in for the first pitch) "Daddy, can we go to the Little K now?"
Scott: "Not yet buddy, just watch a little more of the game."
Landon: "I'm hungry. Can I have a hot dog?"
Scott: "Yes, buddy. I will be right back"
Scott misses the first inning getting hot dogs
Landon:" I'm thirsty now"
Scott misses second inning getting drinks
Landon: "more hot dogs, please"
Scott: (major eye-roll)"Fine, but this is all for awhile."
Scott misses third inning getting second round of hot dogs
Finally, we can watch the game...
Me: "Scott, did you get the diaper bag?"
Scott: major eye-roll (he did not have to go get the diaper bag...I'm not that bad)
Landon: "Daddy, is it time for the Little K yet?"
Landon: "I need a frosty."
Landon: "It's hot."
Landon: "When is the Hot Dog Race?"
Kellen: "ehh, dada, ehhhhh, eh, eh, eh"
Landon: "It's cold."
Landon: "My shoes are too tight."
Kellen: "dada, ehh, ah, ehh, ehh."
Scott: "Let's just go to the damn Little K now."
A game is always more fun with Grandpa!!! |

Grandpa got Landon a special treat! Lucky boy! |
Golf at the Little K is a must! |
After the game, the boys got to run the bases. I was excited to see Landon have fun, but it was Kellen that giggled the whole time! :) |
Love this picture of my boys. |
Landon running to first (or second, or third...i can't tell the difference:). |
Don't worry daddy. Your day will come. The day that you can sit with your sons and enjoy a baseball game. The day the boys will ask questions about the game and want to stay until the bottom of the 9th.
And, you know what, daddy? You'll probably miss the Little K.
