Kumbaya

Just being honest...Sometimes I get discouraged being a "boy mom".  I watch Scott's natural ability to throw a pitch or build something great from Legos and many times I feel inadequate. I grew up playing Barbies and dolls with a little sister and I cartwheeled right on through my t-ball games. Literally, cartwheeled in the outfield.  I know it will be a long process to change my brain to be more 'boyish', but it is something I want to really work on. So, when Lan-Man asked if we could build a tent, I immediately said "gross, no way, that's not going to be fun"   "yeah, honey! That sounds great!"

So a tent we built...

We spent hours perfecting the official sign and flag for our camp! :)

Our camp had some MAJOR rules too!

We played camp games (at least what I think would be camp games. I would never go to a real camp...yuck).

we watched camp movies  (this was Landon's favorite part. He loved that he got to stay up late to watch a movie in the 'tent')!

and we ate LOTS of camp snacks!

We told campfire stories. No scary stories, just funny stories, per Landon. I LOVE the end of the video when Kellen tells his story. So cute!

We have enjoyed this camp so much! The whole family has had camping adventures for weeks! It's really nice to be creative with the boys and do something we can all enjoy... even if there's no room in Camp Cruce for barbie dolls and cartwheels.
