Five For Fighting.

The morning of July 29th 2006 I was sound asleep. After just giving birth, I was tired. Tired and happy. All I remember that morning is waking up to hear music coming from the hospital T.V. A beautiful song was on and Scott was holding Baby Landon tight. He was looking at his new son and he was crying. Crying such happy tears. I knew, right then, Scott Cruce was made to be my baby's daddy! :) The song that morning was "The Riddle" by Five For Fighting and that song, to this day, can turn Scott into mush. It is fun to have something like "The Riddle" to immediately send our minds right to the beautiful experience of bringing Landon in to the world. Oh, just typing about this I have tears in my eyes...

When Scott heard Five For Fighting was playing at Crown Center, you bet your sweet-ass we were front and center. That is, front and center until the boys got bored and restless before the opening act was halfway over and we moved to the back where the boys could run and play in the fountains. It was such a perfect night!
I have a video of Scott holding and singing to Landon when they played "The Riddle", but it's just too sweet to put in the middle of a silly summer countdown. I am keeping that one for something more special! :)
I still look at these faces and smile to think that they are mine!
Just a small tidbit...I have made it appear as if this night had no drama-which is true-THIS night had no drama, but because of this night we had one of the worst weeks of our lives. These beautiful fountains are where Landon caught cryptosporidium, the nasty pool disease that made him (and daddy and grandma) sick as a dog. Oh well, I still think it was worth it! ;)
