#8

is...VEGAS!!!

In July, Scott and I had the honor of attending Jeremy and Tammy's beautiful wedding in Las Vegas! Scott and I had a great time together. I love that we still make it a priority to get away and remember what it was like before our beautiful boys. We don't get away often, but when we do we always make the most of it! We had a perfect little "getaway"!

The beautiful bride and groom. It was a perfect wedding for a perfect couple.

They got married at the EXCACT same place Scott and I did! It was really amazing to be able to experience the wedding as a guest. It was fun to sit in the same seats that our friends and family sat in and feel the love. Scott and I had an emotional experience. There were a few tight hand squeezes during the ceremony, which I love, because any girl knows that a tight hand squeeze during a wedding means that he is saying "I love you" or "I feel what is being said". My heart was completely full the whole time.

Scott and I had a lot of fun just hanging out together, having full conversations, eating full meals, getting all-the-way ready, taking long showers, eye makeup on both eyes, food particle-free sleeves and shoulders, and all of the other things single people enjoy. :)

See that 36-year old hunk-man standing in the middle of the Adidas store playing Playstation (while a line of children patienty waited) in Croc Sandals? Sorry ladies, he's taken. Off the market. Don't be jealous. :)

I had my very own Gambling Coach who just happened to be an amazing friend too! He made my alloted $100 gambling money last the whole weekend! :)
We couldn't thank Jason enough for taking care of us the way he did in Vegas. His generousity was amazing and will not be forgotten.

Scott really wanted to ride the roller coaster at New York New York. Roller coasters usually make me sick, but I make him do plenty of things that probably make him sick, so I decided to buck-up and ride. We waited an extra 30 minutes to sit in the front car. Through signs and employees we were being told "no cameras"...yeah right, if I am waiting in a long line to ride something for 63 seconds that will inevitably make me want to hurl, I am at least going to get a picture of us doing it. And since I fill my jeans to capacity with skin, Scott was in charge of hiding the camera in his pocket. We finally got in the front car, got locked in (tight) and start up the incline. I wanted the picture of us going down the first drop, so Scott pulled the camera out of his pocket AND DROPPED IT! The camera and my heart both hit the ground of our little car. We couldn't reach it, we couldn't see it. Videos and pictures of my babies that I can never get back flashed through my head during every drop, flip and spin. I was sick-and not because the damn roller coaster went upside down. As the ride came to an end Scott told me that on the 2nd upside down turn, the camera hit his foot and he stepped on it. He is, our memories hero!

We had a great trip with great husband-and-wife time, but we were both ready to go back home and have our conversations interrupted, get food particles on our shoulders, have five-year olds wake us up in the middle of the night, etc., etc., etc.
