#2

One of the most monumental events of the summer (really the year) was July 28th. That special day is the day Landon turned 5 years old.  I know I already did a post on his birthday party, but the party was only half of his celebration. On his actual birthday we tried to make the day as special as possible from start to finish. Lan-Man loved every minute of his day.

I wanted the day to be memorable from the moment he woke up, so I did a little work while he was sleeping so he could wake up to a little surprise.
don't judge...he comes in in the middle of the night.

Then. we wanted to take Landon for a special birthday breakfast. We thought "Funny Face Pancakes" from IHOP or "Two Egg Special" from Cracker Barrel. Our sweet boy opted for something much more fancy...sausage from McDonalds. Yep, that's it, just sausage. Yuck.

Daddy had to go to work for a little while and Nana so nicely offered to watch Kellen so that Landon and I could do the activity of his choice!
So, off to The Springs WaterPark we went!

We had a BLAST together. Just me and my big boy.

snack time!

"Hello There Sugar-Lips"

Next, we got gussied up to drive 30 minutes to take Landon to his favorite restaurant: BD Mongolian Barbeque. Landon seriously loves that place. He says it's because he gets to pick all of the shrimp he wants! That boy can eat shrimp!!!!

A big, fat, huge "thank you" to our family for making this day (and every day for 5 years) so amazing for Landon Robert. xoxo
