Waiting for their turn for the
They loved it!
Some other kids had fun too. Even if we never let them run-free like the Wild Beasts that they are! :)
Mommies and the big kids...oh, how we love these kids! I think it's cute how we accidentally dressed like our minis!
And this is where our night got bad...the big kids couldn't wait to go in the Haunted House! They counted their tickets at least three times to make sure that they had enough! This damn thing was false advertisement! It looked like a Carnival from the outside. Scott was excited to take the kids through. And although I will never really know what happened inside those four walls, Cam and Lan's faces coming out said it all! Scott told Brooke and I later that there was Freddie Cruger, blood splatters, and severed heads. Ugh, poor babies.
After the Nelson's left, we stayed to have a little more fun.
Landon wanted to ride the carousel. Watching those things make this mama sick, so Scott took the boys for the ride. The boys had a ball, but after 7 minutes, literally seven minutes, everyone on-board was ready to jump ship. Just when I thought that the ride was broken, and about to start spinning out of control, I noticed the (disgusting) ride-operator in the middle of the ride, finishing his cigarette. OMG!
Ah, the beauty of "Festivals".
Landon wanted to "win some prizes" so we dropped a mortgage payment for three ping pong balls that Landon needed to throw into a fishbowl to win a prize. Good thing we got a game attendant that was super nice (she had obviously already taken her smoke break. ha!) and she "helped" Landon's last ball go right into the fishbowl. Score!
Kellen's turn! He even wanted to hand the lady the money himself. He wants to be a big boy so bad!
And even though when I think of going to another Fall Festival, I see dirt, smoke and deadly rides. And when Scott thinks of going to another Fest he sees money wasted. Our sons have helped us look past what we would normally see and just see FUN! We will definately be going back next Fall!
