Frankly, I hate him.
He is testing every fiber in my being.
He is making me sick.
I will learn.
I will go with the growing-up flow.
But, for now, I will hate him.

Yesterday morning, my son looked like this...
And this morning my son looked like this...
When I got home from work late last night. I slowly crept into Landon's room so I could see my big boy with one less tooth sleeping soundly. I wanted to see his perfect head laying on top of a pillow that was laying on top of his tiny tooth.
Instead, I opened his door to find this...

an empty bed with a note for the Tooth Fairy on it. |
Landon says the Tooth Fairy "sweeks" (freaks) him out. Daddy helped him come up with a plan so that the incredibly freaky, tiny, pink fairy didn't have to come close to his bedroom (not that he sleeps in his bedroom anyway).

That's his pillow. It's laying over his sweet, little tooth...on our kitchen table. |
Dear Father Time,
Please stop marching so quickly and with such arrogance. I realize that my children growing up is inevitable, but must you keep rubbing it in my face at such a speedy pace. Your feet must be killing you at this point. The hole in my baby's mouth has put a hole in my heart. Dang, let a sista' breathe a little. If you promise to move less swiftly, I promise to stop calling you a dick. Deal?
Thank you,
LeAnn Cruce

You are such a dear mommy. This is so heartfelt. Your blog is beautiful. Your family is so blessed to have you. How special. I totally feel your pain with the milestones. So sweet and so bitter at the same time. Big tears and big hugs!!! Love you, girl!
