In-Law La Land

This weekend Scott's parents took the boys for the entire weekend. They do this for Scott and I often and I can't thank them enough when they do. It means so much for us to get some alone time.  We always try to be the best parents possible and honestly, sometimes that means our relationship has to take a back-seat. Those weekends alone give Scott and I precious time to spend together. 

Friday we had a blast at one of Scott's many fun "work events". Although, I have more fun at these "work events" then I ever have at a party! :)

And Saturday...oh, Saturday night was a dream for me. We had a dinner date in bed (Smokehouse, my fave!) and then watched The Help. It was perfectly low-key and quiet! We didn't get out of bed all night. It was sooo nice to just relax!



I can't explain the feeling of knowing that my boys are away, but having the time of their lives. It allows me to relax in ways I never thought possible after becoming a mom. Marshall and Valerie take such amazing care of the boys. They are the most amazing grandparents to Landon and Kellen and they are the most amazing in-laws to me. I know that loving your in-laws is not a given. I know that in-laws loving me was not a given. It is something I am grateful for everyday. I know how lucky I am and I will never let them forget how much I appreciate them.

Thank you Marshall and Valerie for all that you do. Thank you for making such amazing memories for those little boys. Taking the kids for us means equally as much to Scott and I as it does to Landon and Kellen. You truly are the best!  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
