Cheers To 6 Years...

Today, I have been married 6 years.
Wow, 6 years.

I will not say that every day for the past 6 years has been easy. In fact, we started this marriage off very unconventionally (that's such a nice way to put it!). Which meant that we had a climb from the start. I joke that our marriage was a sort-of arranged marriage. Arranged by Landon Cruce. And boy, did that kid know what he was doing.

As I stood at the "altar" in a teeny, tiny (poorly decorated) room in Las Vegas, in an ugly dress that was too tight on my little baby belly, looking into Scott's watery eyes, I was scared. Really scared, actually. We were embarking on a lifelong journey that neither of us knew anything about. I had no idea how to be a wife and a mother and Scott had no idea how to be a husband and a father.  And we were thrust into both so quickly. We jumped in as clueless kids.

And really, that was the exciting part.

You see, we didn't need to know right then how to be husbands or mothers or wives or fathers because we already knew. We already had everything we needed to be great at all of that. We just didn't know it then. We would learn together. We would help each other. We would fight. We would make-up. We would love. And we would become freaking awesome.

I have said it before and I will say it again...I am so very proud of what Scott and I have accomplished and created.  He is my everything. He is my children's everything.

Scott and I are far from perfect, but we are sure as hell perfect for each other.

It could have been no other way.

Yin and Yang, baby. Yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang unless we are at a bar with friends listening to our favorite band and dancing like hell...

And then it's just Yin and Yin. :)

Happy Anniversary, Scott Cruce. I love you so!
xoxo
