These are a few of my Favorite Things!

On Monday night my mom and I hosted a little party! It was on my mom's birthday and it was a "Favorite Things Party".

Anyone who knows my mama knows that this was the most perfect party for her, because everything to Linda Schenck is wonderful, amazing and favorite! :) She is so special!   

After lots of planning and preparing (and tons of question answering... "what in the heck is a Favorite Things Party, LeAnn?"), we packed the house full of those we love and got the par-tay started! 

It was fun and different. And I think our guests had a great time.

As the guests arrived...the fun began!

Let the Favorite Things Exchange begin...

One by one people stood-up and revealed the Favorite that they chose to bring. They explained why it was their favorite, where to buy it, etc.

Some people talked about their favorite a little more than others, but I won't name names...I'm nice like that.

Then, that person pulled three names out of the name bowl and gave her "Favorite Thing" to those three people (everyone had her name in the bowl three times)! 

The exchange was really fun. We had wonderful women of all ages, so the gifts had some really fun range. I learned of quite a few new "favorites" that I am definitely going to try!  

I think everyone loved that she left the party with three new Favorites! So fun!

A big, huge "thank you" to all of our wonderful friends for coming and making this such a special party! I wouldn't have changed a thing! I had the best time and I want all to know how great my mom felt to have all of her "favorite" people in one room for her birthday. You sure knew how to make a (very young) lady feel special. 

When the dog bites

When I'm feeling sad

I simply remember my Favorite Things (Party)

And then I don't feel so bad!
