As long as I have been a mommy I have been waiting to have a "Snow Day" with my boys. I used to LOVE the anticipation of waiting for the snow and then getting up early, running to the window to see if it happened and then turning on the news to watch and see if North Kansas City School District would scroll by. And when it did, I knew my mom would make it such a special day! I have always said that Snow Days are my favorite holidays!
Landon has been asking since November when he is going to get to sled and on Monday, it happened! Kansas City delivered! We had our first real snow of the year and Landon's school was canceled.
There is something so magical waking up and looking out the window to see the snow. I am completely obsessed with seeing new things through my children's eyes. They were so excited! I think what I love most is knowing that it is freezing outside, that we can't drive anywhere and that we are stuck in the warm house. Together. Ahhh..Love it!
After a full day of couch cuddling Valentine making, bath taking, movie watching, snack eating and relaxing, Daddy came home early and we headed to Nana's house for some sledding!
Kellen only wanted to stay outside for a little while...
Then, he decided that it was more fun to watch his brother from inside the nice, warm house with Nana.
But Landon? Oh, that wild-child stayed out till the bitter end!
We made the most of our snow day! It was definitely a day to remember!!!
Oh, yeah...and Stacy will probably remember the day too. But for different reasons! hahahahaha!
Come on, Stac...you totally should have known that Scott Cruce would never let you just waltz up to the door without a fight! :)
