Today was a blast! I absolutely love Sundays. I love that they are usually full of fun things to do with my family!I love that Sunday is a day where the four of us are always together! And I love, love, love a Sunday with nothing planned. Nothing that we have to do!
Kellen woke up extra early (for a Cruce boy) this morning. And just as I was pulling a pillow over my head to try to drown out the happy, smiley, giggly sounds so I could sleep 15 minutes longer, I realized that this was a perfect opportunity to be with JUST Kellen. Something that, unfortunately, is a rarity. I snuck out of bed and in to Kel's room to change a diaper and put his shoes on and we were off to the store for a "date"! Just Kellen and mommy. Love!
I just love the way he eats his donut...just the top half. The good half. Smart boy.
I also love the fact that I know, right at this minute, Scott Cruce is having heart palpitations seeing what I let Kellen wear to the store. Don't worry, Scott. On Sundays, it's totally cool to wear your PJ's to the store.Totally.
When we came home it was Landon's turn for his date. We knew just where to find Nana...
And then...off to see The Lorax
Now, I know that the "dates" with the boys seem unfair to you, gentle reader. One child gets to see a movie and one gets to go to the freaking store?Well, pa-leeeese don't judge a mother unless you have walked in her "I-have-tried-(three times)-to-take my-two-year-old-to-a-movie-and-it-ended-in-total-and-complete-hell" shoes. The store will have to do for now, my Kel-Kel. One day, you too can join us in the filthy red suede chairs for a date. One day.
The rest of our Sunday was beautiful. The weather was amazing. And I love watching all three of my boys play outside. It makes me so excited for Summer!
And this picture? My lord. Be still my heart.
Poor Kellen wants in the baseball game so bad. Soon, my love. Very, very soon.
Thank you Sunday for delivering such an awesome day.
I freaking love it when you deliver.
